Renewable energy source

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev in the annual address to the people of Kazakhstan "New development opportunities in the fourth industrial revolution" announced the task of introducing renewable energy sources and increasing the share of electricity generation by renewable energy sources.

The region is actively pursuing a policy on the introduction of new "green" technologies, which can significantly save energy resources, as well as develop infrastructure.

Today, much attention is paid to the development of energy using renewable energy sources. Kostanay region has a good wind potential, which was confirmed by experts of the UN development Program in 2008, who conducted research on the assessment of the wind potential of the region.

There are small sources of renewable energy in the region:

1. Amangeldy district - installed solar batteries in wintering areas in 6 enterprises;
2. Auliekol district-installed solar water heater by a private entrepreneur, with a total volume of 100 liters;
3. Zhangeldy district-400 W solar panels, 5 and 6 kW wind - solar stations.;
4. Zhitikarinsky district-JSC "Kostanay minerals" installed a solar station with a capacity of 10 kilowatts working without energy accumulation, solar water heaters with a volume of 200 and 300 liters
5. Karabalyk district - on the territory of Burlinsky rural district in "Sever-agro N" LLP installed solar panels in the amount of 5 pieces, with a total capacity of 11 kW;
6. Karasu district-there is a "Complex for processing organic waste into biogas" on the basis of "Karaman-K"LLP. It generates electrical and thermal energy and produces solid and liquid fertilizers. The installed capacity of 0.3 MW;
7. Kostanay district-installed a 400 W solar power plant that supports 10 street lights and 4 indoor ones;
8. Mendykarinsky district-kamenskuralskoe LLP installed a hybrid wind-solar station of 3.5 kW;
9. in the Naurzum district - three wind - solar stations with a capacity of 3, 4 and 4.5 kW and solar panels with a capacity of 300 W are installed on the territory of the reserve. and wind pump (rotor diameter 2.4 m), in the village of Petrel installed small solar-wind generators 3 and 4 kW, also on private property KKH "Imanbayev" installed wind - solar plant of 3 kW.;
10. Sarykol district-installed 2 solar collectors for heating a private home;
11. Uzunkol district-2 kW solar power plant.;
12. 12) Kostanay - a Private sports complex located near the bridge over the Tobol river ( kzhbi) - lighting of the "perimeter" with a length of about 180 meters with 5 Watt led 12 Volt lamps. On the basis of A. Baitursynov Kostanay state University has a wind power installation with a capacity of 5 kW., on-site private enterprise "Eco Park" established "Bolotov's Wind rotor turbine of 5 kW capacity/hour";
13. In Arkalyk - installed solar - wind power plant with a capacity of 3 kW.;
14. in the city of Lisakovsk, along the perimeter of the stele dedicated to the international exhibition "EXPO-2017", there are 20 post lamps with solar panels, an Autonomous pedestrian crosswalk running on solar batteries is installed. Also in December 2017, an Autonomous lighting network based on solar batteries with a length of 1.7 km was put into operation.
15. in the city of Rudny, a wind and solar power plant with a capacity of 4.5 kW is installed on the territory of the Rudny industrial Institute.

Work on the introduction of "green" technologies will continue in the future.
