Kostanay Regional University named after A. Batursynov, together with the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency in the Kostanay region and the regional Department of Education, held the first in the region anti-corruption Olympiad among college students and schoolchildren of the city.
The event was held under the auspices of the project office "Sanaly Urpak" and was aimed at increasing the level of legal literacy and the formation of a culture of integrity among young people. This initiative was supported by educational institutions of Kostanay and representatives of public organizations.
“As tasks, the participants had to solve a number of tasks on knowledge of the norms of the country's legislation and international experience in the field of combating corruption. The participants wrote essays on one of the topics proposed by the organizers related to the current reforms in the sphere of civil service, ”the department said.
According to the head of the anti-corruption headquarters of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Batursynov Karina Kistaubayeva, today it is necessary to reorient humanity to the spiritual and moral values of progress, to strengthen the principle of "zero tolerance" to corruption in society, because it affects almost all areas, is capable of reaching to every citizen. Therefore, a successful policy in this direction will serve as a guarantee of sustainable development of the nation, strengthening its spiritual potential.
The organizers expect that the Olympiad can become traditional and will serve to form an anti-corruption culture in society and a positive image of the civil service.
The results of the competition were announced in a festive atmosphere at the site of the regional Anti-Corruption Service.
The first place in the Olympiad was taken by Aruzhan Bolatkyzy, a student of the S. Maulenov gymnasium, the second place - Vitaly Ovchinnikov from the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, the third place - Arykpanov Sansyzbay (the S. Maulenov gymnasium).
