In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption", the main directions of anti-corruption policy are the prevention of corruption, identification and elimination of corruption risks, formation of an anti-corruption culture, prevention of conflicts of interest, and ensuring the inevitability of liability for corruption offenses.
Civil servants are obliged to comply with established anti-corruption restrictions: not to engage in entrepreneurial activities, not to accept gifts and remuneration, not to use official position for personal interests, not to allow conflicts of interest, to comply with the ban on participation in gambling, and to timely submit declarations of income and property.
Compliance with the requirements of anti-corruption legislation is a mandatory condition for the conscientious performance of state functions, strengthening citizens' trust in state bodies, and improving the efficiency of public service.
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption", every citizen who has information about a corruption offense being prepared, committed, or already committed is obliged to report it to the management of the state body or to the authorized state bodies.
The state guarantees protection to persons who have reported facts of corruption or assisted in their detection. The law provides for ensuring the confidentiality of the applicant's identity, protection of their labor rights, as well as the possibility of obtaining information about the results of the consideration of the appeal and appealing the decisions made.
Disclosure of information about a person assisting in combating corruption is not permitted and entails liability established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These measures are aimed at creating an atmosphere of intolerance towards corruption and increasing citizens' activity in preventing corruption offenses.
