Berik Asylov on the main achievements of the supervisory work in the past year and on the tasks of the Prosecutor's Office for the coming period
In general, there are no secondary tasks in our work. In all situations and in all cases of violations of the law, we try to act quickly, practically online.
Last year, special efforts were directed at countering organized crime, the shadow economy, drug trafficking, human trafficking, fraud, anti-terrorist protection of buildings, and so on. They accompanied investment projects and protected private entrepreneurs from interference in their activities by government agencies, and were engaged in the return of illegally acquired assets to the state. They restored the rights of citizens in labor relations, education, medicine and other areas of the social sphere.
Separately, I would like to focus on activities in the socio-economic sphere.
Thus, prosecutors have protected the rights of hundreds of thousands of citizens, including pensioners, socially vulnerable people, teenagers, employees, as well as equity holders and mortgage holders.
The protection of the rights of minors is in constant focus. Children's problems are solved not only by checking, analyzing or evaluating the decisions of authorized government agencies, but also using project tools.
For example, starting in 2023, prosecutors have been implementing the URPAQ and Happy and Safe Childhood projects, in which we have provided financial assistance to more than two thousand families, housing support for over a thousand families, and medical and social assistance to ten thousand families.
As for the protection of the property interests of the state, damage in the amount of 627 billion tenge was compensated last year, including, in addition to funds stolen from the budget, there are movable and immovable property and other tangible assets worth 91 billion tenge.
As part of the supervision of compliance with the legislation on public procurement, more than a thousand acts of supervision were introduced, 12.7 billion tenge was recovered in favor of the state, and about 500 tenders for 399 billion tenge were canceled.

In the coming period, prosecutors will continue to ensure the rule of law in all areas, with an emphasis on the high-quality implementation of the President's instructions to support investment projects and protect private businesses, respect the rights of socially vulnerable segments of the population, especially children, coordinate the fight against drug trafficking and organized criminal groups, combat fraud, prevent torture, and affirm the principle of "Law and Order."
