On July 1, 2023, the functions of the RAGS bodies will be transferred to NJSC State Corporation "Government for Citizens". At the same time, the procedure for the provision of services, including the registration of marriage, will not change.
It should be noted that with the transfer of functions, future newlyweds will still be able to apply for marriage through the registry office and online through the e-government portal. In this case, filing for marriage registration is carried out 15 days before the date of marriage. Also, citizens have the opportunity to choose in a solemn atmosphere whether they will register a marriage or not.
In addition, the services of the Civil Registry Office will be provided exclusively by employees of the registration authority. Other employees of the State Corporation, including operators of public service centers, will not have access to the RAGS information system. Standards for the provision of services, their procedure and terms of consideration also remain the same.
It should be noted that the registration authorities provide paid and free public services. With the transfer of the functions of the RAGS to the State Corporation, free services, such as registration of births, deaths will continue to be provided free of charge. The tariff for paid services will be calculated taking into account value added tax.
Recall that the registry office registers births, deaths, marriages and divorces. In addition, the registration authorities make changes, additions and corrections to act records, restore and destroy civil status records, and issue primary and secondary certificates, certificates in electronic form or on paper.
