From January 1, 2022, the threshold for registration as a payer of value added tax has been reduced from 30,000 to 20,000 times the monthly calculation index (MCI). This was reported in the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan The minimum turnover for VAT registration was 20,000 times the MCI, established by the Law on the Republican Budget and effective as of January 1 of the corresponding financial year. In 2022, the MCI is set at 3,063 tenge, therefore, the minimum turnover for VAT registration was 61,260,000 tenge. Earlier, in 2021, the threshold was 30,000 times the MCI, respectively - 87,510,000 tenge. In this regard, the State Revenue Committee calls on taxpayers to timely register as VAT payers. For individual entrepreneurs applying a special tax on the basis of a simplified declaration, it is possible to increase the threshold for setting up as a VAT payer. To do this, it is necessary to use a three-component integrated system (TIS). What is the advantage of using TIS for IP? The VAT threshold has been increased from 20,000 MCI to 134,184 MCI, that is, from 61.2 million tenge to 411 million tenge. However, it should be taken into account that this increase applies only to turnovers carried out in a non-cash form (that is, settlements with customers through bank cards) using TIS. Thus, individual entrepreneurs applying CHP on the basis of a simplified declaration have the opportunity to apply TIS and not register for VAT. What do you need to use TIS? First, go to the website of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the link http://kgd.gov.kz/ru/content/edinyy-reestr-trehkomponentnyh-integrirovannyh-sistem-1 and select the TIS model. Second, contact the TIS developer to install the TIS. Third, go to the taxpayer's office, select the appropriate application form, fill out and register the TIS with the state revenue authorities.
