Operational and Search Activity
This is a scientifically grounded system of public and covert operational and search, organizational and managerial activities carried out in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On operational and search activities" and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan by bodies carrying out operational and search activities, in in order to protect life, health, rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of a person and citizen, property, to ensure the security of society and the state from criminal encroachments.
Tasks of the operational and search activity:
1) protection of life, health, rights, freedoms, legal interests of a person and citizen, property from unlawful encroachments;
2) assistance in ensuring the security of society, the state and strengthening its economic potential and defense capability;
3) detection, prevention and suppression of crimes;
3-1) identification of persons who have committed a criminal offense, as well as objects and documents that are significant for the criminal case;
4) the implementation of measures to search for persons hiding from the bodies of inquiry, investigation and the court, evading criminal responsibility, serving a sentence or probationary control, missing citizens and other persons in cases provided for by law, as well as identification of unidentified bodies;
5) ensuring the safety of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other protected persons;
6) ensuring the protection of the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
7) ensuring the protection of information constituting state secrets or other secrets protected by law;
8) assistance to organizations in the protection of commercial secrets;
9) maintaining in places of detention or imprisonment of the regime established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
10) ensuring the safety of suspects, accused, defendants, convicts, personnel in places of detention or imprisonment and other persons;
11) ensuring the security of bodies carrying out operational and search activities.
