In order to ensure the safety of the population, the Committee for Civil Defense and Military Units, together with local executive bodies, the forces of Emergency Departments and the police, carried out a set of organizational measures for the safe conduct of the event.
Informing the population on safety issues and the prevention of accidents on reservoirs was carried out by holding 43 briefings on the country's TV channels, posting 310 materials in the media and 504 posts on social networks.
Round-the-clock duty has been organized in crowded places, tent camps have been set up, for which 3300 personnel and 1090 pieces of equipment have been involved.
The complex of measures made it possible to ensure the safety of more than 79 thousand people.

The seminar was organized within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the Ministries of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Civil Defense and Military Units, Colonel Alexey Sovetov, made a welcoming speech from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Yrysbek Zholdoshbayev, Head of the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Rescue Operations, from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Taking into account that children are one of the least protected groups of the population, due to the lack of sufficient knowledge and skills in emergency situations, on September 15 of this year, the first meeting of the working group on the development of an in-depth elective course on ensuring student life safety was held on the basis of the the AEO «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools».
The Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Integration and Social Development jointly hold meeting with other public organizations: the head of the Department for planning civil defense events and training of the population of the Committee on Civil Defense and Military Units Lieutenant Colonel Arifdzhanov S.B. and a senior officer of the same department Colonel Aiteyev A.S.
The meeting was opened by Olga Mozhaeva, Deputy Chairman of the Board of AEO «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools». On the meeting were substantiated the relevance of the course and the prospects for further use in the educational process.
The participants of the meeting, along with the topics of the elective course, also considered the issues of project implementation and possible risks, the need to make changes and additions to some regulatory acts in the field of education and other issues.
The participants of the meeting unanimously supported the initiative of the AEO «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools», and also proposed to consider the implementation of pilot projects for the use of elective courses in general education schools in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main purpose of the workshop-meeting was to create a platform for discussing problematic issues and prospects for development in the field of civil protection.
The event was opened by the Deputy chairman of the Committee for Civil Defense and Military Units Colonel Alexey Sovetov.
On the meeting there were discussed relevant issues in the field of organizing and conducting civil defense such as ensuring the safety of citizens, preventing and eliminating natural and man-made emergencies.
The participants of the meeting passed tests on the given theoretical materials.
After listening to the speakers from the M. Gabdullin Academy of Civil Protection and LLP «The Republican Educational and Methodological Center for Civil Protection» there were an open dialogue and a productive exchange of views among representatives of the regions of the country.

Over the past weekend and holidays, rescuers rescued 40 people, including 11 children, in the country's reservoirs. A total of 54 drowned people were registered on the water, including 17 children. The largest number of tragic cases occurred in Almaty (9), Akmola (8), Karaganda (7) and West Kazakhstan (6) regions.
Since the beginning of the bathing period (from June 1), 149 people, 52 of them children, have drowned in the reservoirs of the country for reasons of underestimating their own strength, bathing in a state of alcoholic intoxication, prohibited bathing places, while rescuing a drowning person and leaving children unattended by adults. The largest number of drowned people were registered in Almaty (19), Turkestan (16), East Kazakhstan (15) and Akmola (14) regions.
Since the beginning of the bathing period, thanks to the work of rescuers and police officers patrolling the coastal territories of reservoirs, 111 people, including 23 children, were rescued.
In order to prevent the death of people on reservoirs, employees of civil protection bodies carry out preventive work. Thus, more than 407 thousand propaganda products (booklets, leaflets) were distributed among the population, about 2 thousand gatherings with the population were held. Also, about 5,600 volunteers were involved in preventive work.
Rescuers and police officers conduct joint raids and patrols to identify violators of the rules of behavior in public places and safety on reservoirs.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations calls on citizens to comply with the requirements of the Safety Rules on water bodies, and first of all it is prohibited:
- enter the water and swim in a state of alcoholic and narcotic intoxication;
- jump into the water from boats, boats, berths, as well as structures that are not adapted for these purposes;
- dive in untested and unequipped places;
- swim behind the buoys that mark the boundaries of the swim;
- swim on objects that are not intended for swimming;
- enter the water for children unaccompanied by adults.
Everyone should know the dangerous places and features of the reservoir in which he is going to swim, since there may be boulders, flooded logs, pieces of iron, glass and other objects in unequipped places.
