On January 22,  2020, the Ethics Commissioner-Deputy Head of State Revenue Department for the East Kazakhstan region Yerik Mukhamedkanapiyanovich Tatubaev and the head of the Department of Internal Investigations of the of Human Resources Department of State Revenue Department for the East Kazakhstan Region Shamshina Zhanar Kabdykadyrovna held a field meeting on the topic: " Respect of the Code of Ethics of Civil Servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the Code of Ethics) and anti-corruption legislation" in the State Revenue Department for Ust - Kamenogorsk, East Kazakhstan region (hereinafter - State Revenue Department for the East Kazakhstan region)

In his speech, E. M. Tatubaev noted that the Code of Ethics imposes high requirements not only on the behavior of civil servants, the correct clear timely performance of their functional duties, but on the appearance of a civil servant, as well as regulates interpersonal relations between civil servants, relations between subordinates and management.

According to the requirements of the Code of Ethics, civil servants must not give reasons to criticism from the public by their actions and behavior, do not allow prosecution for criticism, use constructive criticism to eliminate shortcomings and improve their activities, and also do not allow violations of the requirements of the law, which involve encroachment on public morality, order and security, and do not involve other citizens in committing illegal, anti-social actions.

In this regard, the SRD for East Kazakhstan Region monitors administrative offenses by civil servants of the SRD for East Kazakhstan region according to the system of the Legal Statistics Committee and Special Records on a quarterly basis.

Shamshina Zh. K. also mentioned the frequent violations of the requirements of the Code of Ethics on the part of civil servants of the SRD for East Kazakhstan Region.

Statistical data on the facts of corruption violations are given, the facts of detention of officials of state revenue bodies in other regions of the country are mentioned. The work carried out by the SRD for East Kazakhstan region on the prevention of corruption offenses by employees and employees of state revenue bodies was announced..

At the end of the meeting, the Ethics Commissioner demanded to fully comply with the requirements of the Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Public Service", "On Combating Corruption", the Code of Ethics , the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan" On Taxes and Other Mandatory Budget Payments ", as well as other regulatory legal acts used in their daily work.
