On February 27, 2026, representatives of the Department of State Revenue for the East Kazakhstan Region spoke at the venue of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Atameken» (East Kazakhstan Regional Branch), where they provided a detailed overview of current issues in tax legislation and explained key changes for the business community.
The event was attended by officials of the Department of State Revenue for the East Kazakhstan Region, taxpayers, representatives of consulting companies, mass media, and bloggers.
As part of the seminar, Head of the Indirect Tax Administration Department, Askhat Zhibitaev, explained the procedures for licensing excisable goods, as well as issues related to the labeling of beer and beer-based beverages.
Head of the Audit Department, Sharip Seikenov, informed participants about the innovations предусмотренные новым Налоговым кодексом regarding the procedures for initiating and conducting tax audits.
Subsequently, Head of the Analysis and Risk Management Department, Gulmira Karibayeva, presented information on amendments introduced into the new Tax Code concerning corporate income tax, with a focus on the practical aspects of applying the updated provisions.
Head of the Public Outreach and Contact Center Department, Gulmira Sabralimova, outlined the specifics of taxation of non-residents’ income and elaborated separately on transitional provisions related to special tax regimes.
Following the presentations, an open question and answer session was held, during which participants received clarifications on the practical application of tax legislation norms.
The seminar was conducted to inform the business community about key changes in tax legislation and to ensure openness and transparency in the activities of the state revenue authorities.
