According to paragraph 9 of Article 33-1 of the Law "On Informatization", persons engaged in digital mining inform the authorized body in the field of information security about digital mining activities in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body in the field of information security.
The rules for Informing about digital mining activities approved by the Order of the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 13.10.2020 No. 384/NC define the procedure for informing about digital mining activities, according to which:

Legal entities, inform within 30 (thirty) calendar days about the planned activities (prior to design) for the construction of data processing centers Information is provided about the planned location, the amount of power consumed in megawatts (MW), the potential for expanding the design electric power capacity of data processing centers, investments in data processing center equipment and bank details of a legal entity. |
Legal entities, quarterly until the tenth day of the next month, provide information on digital mining activities. Information is provided on the current amount of power consumed in megawatts (MW), planned investments in data center equipment, the potential of investments planned for the current year for the development of data center infrastructure, and the number of jobs of data center maintenance personnel. |
Legal entities are informed within 10 (ten) calendar days from the date of termination of digital mining activities |
Informing the authorized body is carried out:
- on paper to the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the address Nur-Sultan, Mangilik El Avenue, 55/14 C2.4.
- or in electronic form through the portals e-Otinish, Egov.
