The Department of State Revenue for the North Kazakhstan region reminds that payment by individuals of the tax on vehicles for 2022 is made no later than April 1, 2023.
The tax is paid at the place of residence of the individual in whom the ownership of the car is registered.
The calculation of the tax is carried out by the tax authorities on the basis of information provided by the authorized bodies that carry out accounting and registration of vehicles.
The transport tax is calculated for the actual period of ownership, starting from the 1st day of the month in which the ownership right was acquired, until the end of the tax period, that is, until the end of the current year or until the 1st day of the month in which the ownership right was transferred.
Thus, if the vehicle was removed from the register during 2022, the taxpayer has an obligation to pay tax for the period in which the vehicle was registered with the authorized body.
If the car is sold "by proxy", the former owner will have to pay the tax until the new owner re-registers the car for himself. Or the actual user can pay the tax on behalf of the previous owner (at the same time, it is necessary to specify the IIN and full name of the person for whom the car is issued in the senders of the payment).
The amount of tax on vehicles can be independently calculated using a calculator on the web portal of the State Revenue Committee kgd.gov .kz and in the mobile application "e-Salyq Azamat".
In addition, this information is posted in the service "Upcoming payments for individuals" on the web portal kgd.gov.kz , as well as in the mobile applications of "e-Salyq Azamat" and second-tier banks
Also, during the month of March, the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan sends the calculated tax amounts to the users of the Kaspi Bank and Halyk Bank mobile applications in the form of a push notification.
In turn, in order to recover debts, private bailiffs on the received materials apply such measures as:
restriction of travel outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;
restriction of registration actions;
seizure of taxpayer's property;
suspension of expenditure operations on bank accounts.
At the same time, the debtor, after paying the tax arrears, is obliged to pay for the services of bailiffs in the amount of up to 25 percent of the recovered amount.
You can find out the amount of tax arrears on the official website of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan www.kgd.gov.kz in the section "Electronic services" (Information about the absence (presence) of tax arrears). To do this, it is enough to enter your IIN. This service displays information throughout the republic.
