The customs post "Auezhai-Shymkent" of the DGD in the city of Shymkent is a border checkpoint.
The main activity of the customs post is the implementation of customs control of baggage and hand luggage of passengers arriving and departing by international flights to the territory of the EAEU and cargo transported by air carriers, as well as the implementation of customs control of goods sent in international mail. Customs control is carried out on the basis of the Code "On Customs Regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan", decisions of the Commission of the Customs Union and the EAEU, orders of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For 11 months of 2021, customs officers of the customs post carried out customs control over the movement of the customs border of the EAEU of 64,422 passengers and 480 international flights (Turkey: Istanbul, Antalya, Egypt, UAE: Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Georgia and charter flights from other countries).
In order to prevent the transportation of contraband goods by customs post officers during customs control with the effective use of technical means of customs control, 17 administrative offenses committed by individuals were identified and fines in the amount of 422,965 tenge were collected.
At the same time, for 11 months of 2021, 95 declarations for goods were issued at the Auezhai-Shymkent customs post and customs payments and taxes in the amount of 79,930,864 tenge were collected to the budget, as well as 258 customs receipt orders for goods arriving in international mail were issued and 3,110,026 tenge of customs payments were collected.
During the period of universal digitalization, all the above-mentioned designations are carried out in the information system "Astana-1". The transition of the entire registration to the IP "Astana-1" accelerates the work of employees without requiring unnecessary additional actions and is effective.
