Government services in the tax and customs sphere

In the context of rapid digital transformation, one of the key areas of public administration development in the Republic of Kazakhstan is the improvement of public services. Particular attention is given to the tax and customs sectors, as these areas concentrate the core interactions between the state and entrepreneurs, citizens, and participants in foreign economic activity. Public services in these sectors not only simplify administrative processes but also ensure transparency, legality, and equal access to rights and obligations.

Public services are actions carried out by government authorities aimed at implementing the rights, interests, and obligations of individuals and legal entities in accordance with the law. In the tax and customs fields, such services include:

registration and deregistration for tax purposes;

confirmation of residency status;

issuance of licenses (for alcohol, tobacco sales, etc.);

submission of tax reporting;

refund of overpaid taxes;
