Тypes of property considered luxury and subject to additional tax: 1. Expensive cars If the cost of transport is 18,000 MCI or more (this is more than 70 million tenge), then its cost is subject to excise tax in the amount of 10%. 2. Yachts and planes If their cost is 24,000 MCI or more (about 100 million tenge), then 10% excise tax is paid. 3. Expensive alcohol If an alcoholic product is more expensive than 500,000 tenge, an excise tax is imposed on each liter in the amount of 10% of the cost. 4 . Expensive cigars If the cost of one cigar is more than 10,000 tenge, excise tax is paid on each cigar in the amount of 10% of the cost. 5. Expensive real estate If the total cost of apartments, houses and summer cottages registered in the name of one person exceeds 450 million tenge, then property tax is calculated in the amount of: 2,946,000 tenge + 450 million tenge over 2% 🧮 How property value is calculated: * The cost of apartments, houses and summer cottages is determined by the state corporation "government for citizens". • This price is usually lower than the market price, that is, cheaper than the sale price. The luxury coefficient is also used (as a rule, it is equal to 1). However, local representative bodies (maslikhats) can raise it to 1.5 (that is, by 50%). Example: if a person's property is more than 450 million tenge, tax = 2,946,600 tenge + 2% will be equal to the amount exceeding 450 million tenge. 👉 And if the value of the property is less than 450 million tenge — a separate tax is charged for each house or apartment.
