The TAXI FREE pilot project has been extended until the end of 2024

In order to develop inbound tourism, the State Revenue Committee is implementing a pilot project "Tax Free", which provides for compensation of the amount of VAT to tourists (citizens of foreign states) when exporting goods outside the customs territory of the EAEU with an amount of at least 20 minimum calculated indicators (Order of the Acting Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 13, 2019 No. 871).

By Order of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 27, 2023 No. 710, the implementation period of this Pilot Project was extended from June 30, 2023 to December 31, 2024 with the expansion of the geography of the Pilot Project to the city of Shymkent.

Prior to the changes, the implementation period of the Pilot Project was limited to June 30 of this year and extended to trade entities located in the cities of Astana, Almaty and Turkestan.

The order was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 29, 2023 for No. 32935 and is put into effect after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication.
