Ethics of civil servants

On compliance with ethical standards

In the state's Address to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 2, 2019 "Constructive public dialogue - the basis for stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan", Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the main priorities in the activities of state bodies at present are: the need for an open dialogue with society, rapid response to the needs of people, consideration of issues of combating corruption among civil servants through the prism of ethical control.

Compliance with the provisions of the Code of Ethics plays an important role in preventing corruption and is one of the main principles of being in the public service.

The behavior of civil servants outside of work is also the subject of close attention from society and citizens.
In order to streamline all this, to develop certain rules of conduct for civil servants, the Head of State signed a decree on the approval of the Code of Ethics in December 2015.
In it, the whole life of a civil servant is clearly regulated: during work, in communication with colleagues, and outside the service. The rules of conduct that must be followed by a citizen who has chosen the path of work in the public service are spelled out.

Our common task is to control how civil servants comply with the norms of official ethics, comply with restrictions and prohibitions, effectively perform their official duties, and protect the rights and interests of citizens and civil servants.
