In connection with the appeals of citizens regarding the increase in the amount of transport tax due to the postponement of the payment of this tax until April 1 of the year following the reporting year, the Ministry of Finance informs the following.
The taxpayer must fulfill its tax obligations for 2020 by April 1, 2021.
Accordingly, when calculating the amount of transport tax, the amount of the monthly calculation index that was in effect on January 1, 2020 will be applied.
Recall that the size of the #MCI on the specified date was 2,651 tenge. The tax will be calculated from this indicator.
It is noted that when paying the transport tax for 2021 until April 1, 2022, the MCI that was in effect at the time of January 1, 2021 will also be applied.
Accordingly, the transport tax for 2020 will not be increased.
