A ban on the import of certain types of stone products to Kazakhstan has been introduced

 Kazakhstan has temporarilysuspended the import of graniteforconstructionandmonuments. The import of a numberofstoneproducts has been temporarilysuspendedinKazakhstan.

The relevant order of the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 2, 2025 No. 342 provides for a three-month ban on imports from third countries of certain categories of goods delivered by all modes of transport.

 The ban applies to the following items:

• pavingstones,curbsandpavingslabs made ofnaturalstone(EAEUHScode6801000000);
• Graniteformonumentsorconstruction,products made fromit,hewnorsawn,with a flatsurface(6802230000);
• granite, polished,decoratedorotherwiseprocessed, with a netweight of 10kgormore(6802931000);
• Graniteformonumentsorconstruction(6802939000).

According to the document, the order comes into force 10 calendar days after its first official publication. He was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on September 8, 2025, under No. 36809.

 These measures are aimed at protecting the domestic market and supporting domestic manufacturers of building materials.
