On October 19, 2026, Chairman of the Board of KazAID Amb. Nurgali Arystanov held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Portugal to Kazakhstan, José de Castro Ataíde Amaral.
During the conversation, the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of official development assistance (ODA) between KazAID and the Portuguese Camões – Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, I.P. (Camões I.P.).
From October 15 to 16, 2026, Nurgali Arystanov, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID), participated in the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and Asia Development Dialogue in Bangkok, Thailand. The event was organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA).
This development dialogue is the first regional event uniting the OECD DAC and development agencies across the Asian region. It brought together over 100 participants from various DAC agencies, ministries, and financial development institutions.
Speaking at a thematic session, the Chairman of the Board of KazAID shared insights into the Kazakh agency’s activities, development programs in partner countries, and the transparency of the country’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) reporting within the OECD DAC in compliance with international standards.
On the sidelines of the event, Amb. Nurgali Arystanov also held a series of bilateral meetings to discuss cooperation with representatives of development agencies and the OECD. Specifically, he met with OECD DAC Chair Carsten Staur, KOICA Vice President Young Ah Doh, Head of OECD DAC Global Relations Division Rolf Schwarz, Head of Finance Unit at OECD DAC Sustainable Development Division Yasmin Ahmad, Director of International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Rina Setyawati , TİKA Advisor Emre Yuksek , NORAD Senior Advisor Elise Guzda, and other dialogue participants to discuss cooperation and the implementation of joint development projects.
On October 12, 2026, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development "KazAID" Amb. Nurgali Arystanov held a meeting with JICA Expert Uehara Makiko and Business Promotion Advisor (JICA Expert) Murayama Mitsuo.
During the meeting, the sides discussed promising areas of cooperation, including disaster risk reduction and resilience for Central Asia, as well as entrepreneurship support.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding joint initiatives.

Qualification Requirements for an Employee of the Internal Audit Service:
1) Higher professional education in accounting and audit, and/or finance, and/or economics, and/or law, along with additional specialized training;
2) Professional work experience in audit, and/or accounting, and/or finance for at least 3 years;
3) Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
4) Knowledge of the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including those concerning auditing activities, accounting, and taxation;
5) Mandatory possession of an "Auditor" qualification certificate obtained in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Auditing Activity", and/or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certificate in the field of internal audit, and/or an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification/certificate, and/or a Certified Accounting Practitioner (CAP) certificate, and/or a Professional Accountant Certificate issued by a certification body accredited by the authorized body of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and/or a Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipFR), and/or a Certified International Professional Accountant (CIPA) certificate, and/or an IFA Diploma in Internal Audit (DipIA IFA, UK).

On October 8, 2026, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID) Nurgali Arystanov met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan, Ms. Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa.
During the meeting, Nurgali Arystanov briefed the UN representatives on the Agency's international development activities in partner countries and outlined Kazakhstan's core priorities in official development assistance (ODA).
In turn, Ms. Sarangoo Radnaaragchaa expressed the keen interest of UN entities to foster cooperation with KazAID to share and promote Kazakh expertise and best practices in the context of the UN Regional Center on SDGs for Central Asia and Afghanistan, as well as other UN entities based in Almaty.
On October 6, 2026, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development "KazAID" Nurgali Arystanov met with the Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Kazakhstan, Utsav Kumar.
During the meeting, Amb. Nurgali Arystanov presented information on the Agency's projects aimed at supporting partner countries in Central Asia and Afghanistan, including schools constructed by the Government of Kazakhstan in partner nations.
Utsav Kumar outlined ADB's ongoing and completed projects in the region and highlighted the Knowledge and Experience Exchange Program (KEEP).
The sides agreed to explore potential joint development projects within the region and beyond.
On October 2, 2026, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development "KazAID" Amb. Nurgali Arystanov met with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kazakhstan Katarzyna Wawiernia.
During the meeting, Amb. Nurgali Arystanov provided an overview of the Agency's activities and projects aimed at supporting partner countries in Central Asia and Afghanistan. He also expressed interest in organizing joint events under the signed Statement of Intent between KazAID, UNDP, and the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Ms. Katarzyna Wawiernia expressed interest in implementing joint projects in priority areas.
On September 24, 2026, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID) Amb. Nurgali Arystanov delivered a guest lecture to students of Nazarbayev University on the topic "The Role of Kazakhstan in International Development Cooperation." The event was organized by Dr. Artan Karini, Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy, Nazarbayev University.
The students were provided with comprehensive information on the key areas of international development assistance, Kazakhstan's engagement with international partners, and the prospects for future cooperation. The lecture sparked keen interest among the students and evolved into a meaningful discussion and exchange of views on international development and global cooperation.
On September 21, 2026, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development "KazAID" Amb. Nurgali Arystanov met with Kuralay Karmenova, Deputy Director of the "BI Juldyzai" Corporate Fund of BI Group.
During the meeting, an overview of the Agency's activities and ongoing projects in partner countries was presented. In turn, representatives of the Fund outlined the key areas of the organization's work aimed at developing an inclusive society and supporting children in the country, as well as plans to expand the geographical reach of its activities.
