Seminar for Central Asia, South Caucasus and Eastern Europe within the framework of COP29
The event aimed to support developing countries in the region in preparing their first Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR) under international climate commitments. Held from September 16 to 18, 2024, the seminar followed a Memorandum between KazAID and the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) ahead of COP29. The seminar was attended by 43 experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. It was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RK and the corresponding Ministry of Azerbaijan, with the support of UN agencies (UNDP, UNEP, UNFCCC).
