The main objective of the event was to enhance the professional qualifications of specialists from the statistical agencies of Central Asian countries and to integrate modern data visualization standards into the work of national institutions.
The seminar, held on October 8–10, 2025, at Astana International University, was organized with the support of the United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP), the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). The training brought together 23 representatives from the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Participants mastered advanced tools for transforming complex statistical datasets into visual formats and infographics.
The seminar resulted in a significant strengthening of the human resource capacity of the region’s statistical services. The practical application of the skills acquired by analysts substantially improved the quality of information presentation, and by the end of 2025, participating countries recorded increased accessibility and demand for official statistics. Greater transparency and clarity of data create a solid foundation for effective public decision-making and strengthen public trust in government institutions. Following the official program, cultural activities were organized, including guided tours to introduce participants to the main attractions of Astana.
