Implementation of the "Avicenna: Healthcare" Program
This program for academic exchange and human capital development in medical education aims to support students from Central Asia.
Within the framework of the academic mobility program, 10 students – 7 from the Kyrgyz Republic and 3 from the Republic of Tajikistan – trained at Astana Medical University with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) from April 10 to May 2, 2025.
The program resulted in the enhancement of the professional competencies of future specialists and the exchange of advanced Kazakh medical knowledge and practices. As a result of the program, the students not only highly evaluated the quality of the lectures but also established horizontal connections with their Kazakh colleagues, creating a foundation for the future medical community in the region. At the end of the training, 100% of participants highly rated the quality of the lectures and expressed a desire to participate in future Agency projects. In addition, after the official part, the cultural program included sightseeing tours of Astana, during which participants visited the “Baiterek” monument, “Nurzhol” Boulevard, “Khan Shatyr” Shopping Center, “ForteBank Kulanshi Artspace Gallery”, EXPO-2017, and the Main Republican Mosque of Astana.
