Flood is considered the most frequent of all other types. One of the main factors of formation is too much precipitation or winter thaws, which eventually raise the water level. It does not differ in a certain periodicity, unlike high water or congestion. For the most part, the flood does not last very long, but at the same time the water level can increase significantly during this period of time.
The flood causes enormous damage. This is the death of people, the destruction of homes and economic damage. Flooding destroys houses, roads, bridges, and destroys agriculture.
What to do after a flood (flood)
1. When returning to the house after a flood, care should be taken. You need to make sure the integrity of the load-bearing structures and the ceiling. A dwelling after flooding may be subject to collapse.
2. Do not use an open fire, as there is a risk of explosion due to a possible gas leak.
3. Do not eat food from the flooded area, do not drink water from flooded wells. This can lead to infection. Wells must be drained and disinfected.
4. It is forbidden to turn on electrical appliances.
5. In case of malfunction of gas pipes, sewerage and water supply, urgently call specialists to eliminate the breakdown.
6. Do not stay to live in a house with standing water.
The office of the Akim of the Karasai district of the Almaty region, in accordance with the Rules for the election of a public mediator approved by Order No. 134 of the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 3, 2022, informs about the election of public mediators.
