For the Year of the Volunteer in the Karaganda region, an action plan "Birgemiz" has been developed, within the framework of which active work is being carried out.
In order to promote, stimulate and improve the status of a volunteer, work is carried out in 7 directions ("Bilim", "Saulyq", "Sabaqtastyq", "Tazaqstan", "Asyl mura", "Qamqor", "Umit"). And socially significant projects have been developed for each area.
There are 97 volunteer groups operating in the region, covering more than 7813 people. At the beginning of the year, in connection with excessive snowfall, the action "Birgemiz" was organized with the support of the regional administration.
More than 31000 people, 1643 enterprises and organizations took part in the event, 803 specialized equipment were involved. 3,622.15 hectares were removed, 41,292.25 m3 of snow removed.
During the period of the state of emergency announced throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan, many residents of the region needed volunteer help.
During this period, the region's volunteers were especially active. Since the beginning of the Year of Volunteer, 1112 actions have been held in the region with a total coverage of 154 763 people, in which 6082 volunteers took part. In the Karaganda region, from March 15 to May 6 of this year, volunteers and entrepreneurs held 778 campaigns to provide assistance to large and low-income families, lonely elderly people, the disabled and all those in need. In total, 14,251 families or 65,700 people were covered.
For a total amount of 42.8 million tenge (42843.8 thousand tenge) distributed 106.8 tons of food, sanitary and hygienic and household items. In addition, 44,521 masks were sewn and distributed to the population by volunteers, individuals and enterprises. During this period, more than 2,000 volunteers served for the benefit of society.
According to the decree of the chief sanitary doctor of the region, all volunteers were provided with a mask, rubber gloves, and antiseptics. Since March 2020, the regional headquarters of volunteers "Saryarqa jastary" has been created and operates in the Karaganda region.
The headquarters provided assistance to 3,653 residents of the region.
Since May 7, with the support of the Halyq charitable foundation, Shubarkol Premium JSC, as well as the 9 region and Kostanay Shinzhservice firms, 3000 food boxes of 50 kg have been allocated to veterans and low-income families. In addition, a large-scale campaign "Ardagerim-Ardagym" is being carried out in the region in support of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers.
Within the framework of this campaign, 553 events have been held in the region since the beginning of the year. Within the framework of the Year of Volunteers, in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, a regional program has been developed to organize and conduct the Year of Volunteers.
The work is being carried out under this program. In particular, this year a set of measures is being taken to support and develop the region's volunteer movement. The complex of these activities covered the above areas. In addition, certified specialists with experience in this field conduct training seminars in all approved areas to develop communication skills, vital skills of volunteers and work in a group.
There is also a regional resource center for the development of volunteering "Qoldau". The main goal of this center is to provide methodological support and development of the volunteer movement. Also in the region there is a front office in the direction of "Asyl mura".
Within the framework of this project, 68 grants will be awarded to the best volunteer organizations of the republic in the amount of 300,000 tenge.
In order to implement the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev on the allocation of grants to volunteer organizations, the 10 best volunteer organizations in the region will be awarded grants in the amount of 3,000,000 tenge.
Also, within the framework of the Year of Volunteers, a TEDx conference was held and the Oi tolgau project is being implemented. In addition, in the cities and districts of the region, 21 420 000 tenge were allocated for the sphere of volunteering this year.
In connection with the caronovirus pandemic in the Karaganda region, during the announcement of an emergency, 250 volunteers of the region were awarded a "Letter of thanks" from the akim of the Karaganda region.
