The Local police service is one of the main directions of the internal affairs agencies.
Tasks of the Local police service:
- prevention of offences;
- public order protection;
- ensuring road safety;
- proceedings in cases of administrative offences;
- prevention and suppression of criminal offences.
Functions of the Local police service:
- implementation of comprehensive measures aimed at identifying, studying, and eliminating the causes and conditions that contribute to the commission of offences;
- implementation of comprehensive measures to protect public order;
- implementation of state control and supervision over road traffic and ensuring its safety;
- implementation of proceedings in cases of administrative violations;
- investigation of criminal misconduct;
ensure the reception and conditions of detention of persons subjected to administrative arrest and persons without a fixed place of residence and/or identity documents.
