During the reporting period, the activities of local executive bodies in the field of language policy were aimed at implementing the State Program for the Implementation of Language Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025.

4 meetings of the commission on further improvement of the state language policy were held, meetings with active citizens on the promotion of the state language , meetings were held to promote the state language, expand the scope, form public consciousness chaired by the deputy akim of the region Nukenov A.N., issues of compliance with the requirements of the law were considered about languages by state institutions of the Karaganda region and organizations providing public services to the population.

In 2021 , 2482 people were covered by 3-month courses of the Kazakh language, 1987 people were covered by the English language. A methodology has been developed for teaching short-term courses on teaching the Kazakh language ( 1 month ) for workers in the sphere of providing services to the population and entrepreneurship, these courses covered 748 people in the region. The process of learning languages is organized mainly online.

The quarterly monitoring of incoming and outgoing documentation in the state language in the document flow of state bodies showed that the share of incoming documents in the state language was 69.2 % , outgoing documents - 94.4 % . Compared to the previous reporting period, this figure increased by 2.8 % .

Last year, 1352 events were held in the region as part of the implementation of the language policy, including such events as the solemn ceremony of awarding the regional akim's prize "Til zhanashyry", the republican poetry competition named after Kasym Amanzholov, the regional competition of young writers, dedicated to Akseleu Seydimbek, the regional competition "Tіldaryn" for young people who speak three languages, the debate "Ozіңe sen ..." among student teams of higher educational institutions , etc. etc.

In order to expand the scope of the Kazakh language at business facilities, work is underway to provide methodological assistance and free translation of visual information and advertising texts. During the reporting period, out of 4,130 violations identified at 11,805 objects covered by raids to unify the texts of visual information and advertisements, 2,818 (68%) were corrected.

During the year, 392 events ( seminars, meetings, conferences, etc. ) were organized in all cities and districts, together with the branches of the regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", covering 3,330 people. 18,075 copies of information leaflets and more than 10,000 short dictionaries "Tilashar" were distributed. Assistance was provided through the Hot Line service on 6,310 appeals . In this direction, the projects " Körnekі akparat pen zharnama tilin birіzdendіru " and " Zharnama zhedel zhelіsi " were implemented.

In total, within the framework of the regional media plan for the implementation of the state language policy, since the beginning of last year, 3,285 materials have been published, new TV projects have been launched - the intellectual TV project Oyoris and the TV program Mamile.

In 2021, on the territory of the region organized 894 activities _ as part of a comprehensive work on the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin alphabet with a total coverage of 16,976 people . Of these, 241 events were held to instill skills in the Latin alphabet ( courses, trainings, educational hours, online seminars and webinars ), covering 7,933 people. In addition, in order to familiarize, explain and promote the new version of the Latin alphabet, 653 information events were organized (exchange of opinions, round tables, conferences, competitions, online promotions, online lectures, essay competitions, dictations, debates, quizzes, live broadcasts and explanatory events) covering 9,043 people. Of the 894 events organized, 872 were held online.

In the region, ideologically obsolete names of administrative-territorial units make up 50 (8.3%), component parts - 470 (10.5%). During the reporting period, work was carried out in the region to rename and name 2 settlements, 91 streets and 26 institutions. Including the renaming of the Oktyabrsky district of Karaganda in the name of Alikhan Bokeykhan is a historical event for the region. In the future, onomastic work in the region will be carried out in accordance with the Roadmap for 2022-2025 for the renaming of settlements and their components with ideologically obsolete names.
