The state network of objects of culture and archives includes 6 83 objects of culture, art and archives: 31 3 libraries, 2 35 club-type organizations, 49 youth clubs, 21 video cars , 5 theaters, 20 museums, 20 archives, 2 concert organizations, a regional scientific and methodological center for leisure and folk art, a center for the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, 12 parks of culture and recreation, a cinema, an exhibition hall , a historical and cultural center "Zhoshy Khan" and a zoo.

In 2021, as part of the implementation of the points of the Roadmap of the NurOtan Election Program “The Path of Change: A Decent Life for Everyone!”  repairs were carried out at 60 cultural facilities for a total amount of 728.6 million tenge , including as part of the implementation of the program "Auyl - el becigi " repairs were carried out at 2 cultural facilities in Osakarov and Bukhara - Zhyrau districts .

 In order to preserve the historical and cultural heritage, 7 archaeological studies, 17 restoration works and 6 socially significant projects to promote cultural heritage were carried out in 2021. 234 million 539 thousand tenge were allocated from the regional budget.

There are 16 museums and 4 branches in the region. The total number of exhibits stored in the museums of the region as of 01.01.2022 is 374,591 storage units, of which the main fund is 270,792 storage units. According to the program for ensuring the preservation, accounting, acquisition and study of the historical and cultural heritage, the museums of the region are collecting and scientifically - research work. Museums of the region for 2021 4631 items collected _ - objects of ethnography, arts and crafts, painting, etc.

The network of state libraries of the Karaganda region includes 31 3 libraries (of which 238 are district libraries, 72 city libraries and 4 regional libraries. Over the past 3 years, 4 rural libraries have been closed (in 2019, 3 libraries in the Nurinsky district; in 2021, 1 library in the Karkaraly district , in 2022 a branch of the library was opened in Satpaev ) . The book fund has 5 million 554 thousand 254 units storage, including in rural areas 2 mln. 693 thousand 833 units , _ lending is 5 million 895 thousand 920 copy. Libraries of the region are equipped with 1259 computers, 255 libraries are connected to the Internet. In 2021, 358 libraries used the services of libraries  111 readers.

In order to implement the cultural policy of Kazakhstan, 235 cultural and leisure institutions of the region are actively working. At the cultural and leisure enterprises of the region there are 1766 club formations, in which 31509 people are engaged, of which there are 1207 amateur art groups with a coverage of participants - 20881 people.

Since May 2021, a project has been implemented in the republic to include children and adolescents aged 4 to 18 in circles through a state creative order. As part of the implementation of the creative order for 2021, 200 million rubles were allocated from the local budget . 2 35 thousand tenge. To date , 111 circles are operating through the state creative order , covering 4877 children.

The Department provides 4 public services that are included in the Register of Public Services: “Issue of archival certificates, copies of archival documents or archival extracts”; "Issuance of permission for the installation of memorial plaques"; "Issuance of a certificate for the right of temporary export of cultural property"; "Acceptance of applications for conferring the title of "People's" (exemplary) to amateur art groups."

An invariable part of archival work is the provision of public services for the issuance of archival certificates. For 2021 years, 70,880 archival certificates were issued , of which 13,614 were issued through the state corporation “Government for Citizens”, 33,763 through the “electronic government portal” , and through the office of the service provider (in paper form) - 23 503.

8 permits have been issued for the state service "Issue of permission to install memorial plaques" .
