One of the main goals in the social sphere is to improve the rehabilitation system for people with disabilities, strengthen social support and improve their quality of life. For this, in 2020, 37886.0 thousand tenge is provided from the local budget, 9334.0 thousand tenge from the republican budget. 176 disabled people are provided with compulsory hygiene products on the basis of individual rehabilitation certificates issued by the dispensary, and contracts have been concluded with 86 persons with personal assistants of the first group. Six people with disabilities were recruited as language specialists and were paid their monthly salaries on time.
In 2020, 8 people with disabilities, including laptops, 3 people with a tonometer, 5 people with a typhoon, 7 people with a player, 32 people with a mobile phone, 1 person with a Braille recorder, 8 people with a watch for the deaf and hard of hearing, 1 person 13 people received exercise equipment, wheelchairs, 4 hearing aids. 28 people were sent for prosthetics (wheelchair, crutches, sticks, orthopedic shoes, corsets, crutches, breast prosthesis, hip prosthesis, tibia prosthesis), 43 people were sent to the Almaz sanatorium in Kokshetau.
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On support of children with disabilities through social, medical and pedagogical correction" there is a department of social assistance at home for children with disabilities. Today, according to the results of the psychological, medical and pedagogical council, 22 children with disabilities are registered in this department. Children with such registration are provided with social assistance at home, and 13 social workers work for them. In addition, the department has a department for social assistance at home. 34 social workers serve 162 single elderly and disabled people.
By the decision of local authorities, since the beginning of the year, 141 disabled children have been provided with a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 5 thousand tenge and 57 appeals on applications of certain categories of citizens.
