Over the past year, the work of the Department of Economics of the Karaganda region was aimed at solving the tasks identified in strategic documents, messages of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the people of Kazakhstan and instructions from Elbasy and the directions of the election platform of the Nur Otan party, state programs, as well as achieving key national indicators in the project updated Strategic Map until 2025.
The implementation of the tasks identified in the main priority documents ensured a positive growth rate for the main socio-economic indicators.
The short-term economic indicator of the development of the region amounted to 107.5%.
The volume of gross regional product for 9 months of 2019 amounted to 3 trillion. 590 billion tenge, provided the growth of the economy of the region by 6%.
GRP per capita amounted to 2.6 million tenge.
Positive dynamics were achieved in all basic sectors of the economy. Compared to the same period of 2018, industrial production grew by 3.2%, gross agricultural output - by 2.3%, construction work - by 94.3%, trade services - by 13.6%, transport - by 2.9%. Over 421 thousand m2 of housing commissioned with an increase of 1% to the previous year.
Invested in fixed assets 800.4 billion tenge with an increase of 59.1%.
The positive dynamics of indicators of the social sphere is ensured. The average monthly salary increased by 18.2% and amounted to 172 thousand 884 tenge.
During 2019, labor market indicators remained stable, the unemployment rate was 4.4%.
The inflation rate was 105.6%, which corresponds to the established corridor of 104-106%.
Taking into account the tasks and priorities of the socio-economic policy defined in the Development Strategy of Kazakhstan until 2050, the annual messages of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan, a forecast for the socio-economic development of the region for 2020-2024 has been developed and approved, the Program for the development of the region for 2016-2020 has been updated.
In pursuance of the protocol order given by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, Chairman of the Nur Otan Party Nazarbayev N.A. October 18, 2019, work has begun on the development of programs for the development of the region, cities and districts for 2021-2025 in a new format.
The program will include specific indicators for the regions
in order to solve problematic issues, as well as indicators that contribute to the economic development of the region, taking into account the characteristics and specifics.
Work is underway to determine planned values and monitor the implementation of target indicators included in the Memorandum between the Prime Minister and the regional akim.
In the framework of the execution of the order of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nazarbayev N.A. The Development Strategy of the City of Karaganda until 2050 was developed and approved.
The strategy defines 5 priority areas for the development of the city for the long term, aimed at improving the living standards of the population.
