A regular meeting of the working group on amendments to the Law "On the Prosecutor's Office" was held in the Main Military Prosecutor's Office.
Representatives of the medical services of the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard and the Border Guard Service are invited to work with the group.
The issues of medical support for employees of the military prosecutor's office in medical institutions of military departments were considered and discussed.
This problem arose after the transition to compulsory social health insurance. This is especially acute in remote garrisons.
Provided for in article 44 of the Law "On Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel", the right to medical care in military hospitals and infirmaries at the expense of budgetary funds is guaranteed to military personnel of those departments where there are specified military medical units.
Considering that the military prosecutor's offices do not have their own medical institutions, it has become impossible for our servicemen to exercise the above rights on the basis of medical institutions of military departments.
The Working Group decided to prepare appropriate amendments to the Law "On Military Service and the Status of military personnel", guaranteeing employees of the military Prosecutor's Office to receive medical services at the expense of the state in all nearby military medical institutions.
