Our grandfather Sarsembayev Tulegen was born in 1911 in the village of Komsomolskoye, bulaevsky district, North Kazakhstan region.

Tulegen-ATA was a fair man, listening to his plan in the village, received great authority from the villagers.

Kazakh famine in wartime - a period of famine, as you know. At that time, my grandfather helped one of the poor villagers with food and livestock brought from Omsk.

When Tulegen's grandfather went to the front, my father Kadyrzhan-his eldest son, was only three years old. These were the first days of the war in July 1941. Unfortunately, there is no information about the military path of Tolegen-ATA in the family. He himself, according to relatives, did not like to talk about the ways of the front.

He served in the 101st separate rifle regiment with the rank of private, participated in the battles for Stalingrad.

General field Marshal F. Paulus, who was arrested at Stalingrad, testifies from the first day of the war that the ruling clique of Nazi Germany is aimed at the fall of Soviet territory. "In Stalingrad on the Volga," Paulus noted, " this trend reached its apogee..."

During the battle, 3 million bombs, shells and mines were thrown out of the air into Stalingrad.almost all weapons and mortars were withdrawn. Everywhere-mountains of rubble of destroyed houses, houses destroyed by the explosion of the earth, thousands of corpses of soldiers and officers, civilians. None of the 126 enterprises have survived, with 48 plants from the surface of the Earth. "Red cauldron", "Barricades", " STZ " froze dead giants.

German-fascist barbarians destroyed more than 40 thousand buildings in Stalingrad. About half a million residents of the city were left without housing. There are 110 schools, 120 kindergartens, 61 kindergartens. Residents of the city are deprived of 15 hospitals, 68 outpatient clinics, 6 maternity homes.

In September 1942, after receiving a severe head wound, received the protection of Stalingrad, was released from the army in September 1942.

In the post-war years, Tulegen was a Manager in the village of Bakay in the North Kazakhstan region, worked in agriculture all his life, and has a medal "for the development of virgin lands". He retired in 1971.

He was awarded the medal "for the defense of Stalingrad", the jubilee medal "XX years of Victory in the great Patriotic war of 1941 – 1945".

Our family keeps the book "Soldiers of Victory", which represents all North Kazakhstan citizens who participated in the great Patriotic war, including our grandfather Tolegen Sarsembayev.

Unfortunately, the severe injury received in the war had an impact on his health, who died in 1974 at the age of 63.

Tulegen-ATA raised 3 sons and 2 daughters, taught them to be honest and love their family and Homeland. Each of them received an education despite difficult times.

We, his descendants, thank Tulegen's grandfather and all those who defended the Motherland from fascism and gave us the opportunity to live under a peaceful sky.
