In 2022, the research and production center of Fisheries carried out research work in order to carry out state accounting and monitoring of fish resources.
Based on the results of scientific research:
- conclusion on the state of fish resources and other aquatic animals, indicating their ability to reproduce naturally;
- justification of the maximum allowable volume of extraction and forecast of its impact on the state of fish resources;
scientific recommendations:
- by the age group of Fry (larvae, segolets, two-year-olds) and by the volume of fishing of each species of fish;
- according to the optimal regime, as well as restrictions and prohibitions on fishing;
-carrying out fish farming and reclamation works.
In addition, in 2022, KAZEKOPROEKT LLP conducted a comprehensive marine survey to assess the state of the Bioresources of the Kazakh part of the Caspian Sea.
Based on the results of scientific research, biological justifications were given with recommendations for optimizing the fishing regime, including recommendations for the maximum permissible volume of fish resources withdrawal, the mode of fishing and its regulation, the volume, type, age composition of fishing, restrictions and prohibitions.
Based on these biological justifications and a positive conclusion of the state environmental expertise, the ETRM approved limits on fishing for fish and other aquatic animals on fisheries reservoirs for the corresponding period from June 1, 2022 to June 1, 2023.
In January of this year, contracts were signed with the Scientific and Production Center of Fisheries LLP for conducting research work for the period 2023-2024, and an agreement was also signed with the Kazakhstan Agency for Applied Ecology LLP for conducting complex marine research in the Kazakh part of the Caspian Sea.
The results of the work carried out will be presented in the form of appropriate biological justifications within the approved time frame.
