The Supreme Audit Chamber carries out a preliminary assessment of the draft republican budget in the main areas of its expenditures in the manner determined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Preliminary assessment of the draft republican budget in the main areas of its expenditures is carried out in terms of compliance of the expenditures of the draft republican budget with the priorities of socio-economic development of the country, priority areas of republican budget expenditures, the results of the evaluation of state programs and strategic plans of central government bodies, conclusions and recommendations given by the Supreme Audit Chamber to the report of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the execution of the republican budget for the reporting financial year.
The results of the preliminary assessment shall be submitted to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan before the introduction of the draft law on the republican budget in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and shall be of an advisory nature.
The central authorized body for budget execution submits information to the Supreme Audit Chamber on the measures taken to implement the recommendations reflected in the conclusion on the assessment of the draft republican budget within three months after the approval of the law on the republican budget for the relevant financial year.
