144 thousand Kazakhstani specialists were trained by subsoil users in 2019

Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev told about it during his reporting meeting with the citizens, the press service of ME RK reports.

According to the Minister, at the moment 235 contracts for the production and exploration of hydrocarbons have been registered in Kazakhstan, including: for "exploration" – 54, for "joint exploration and production" - 96, for "production" - 74, under "Production sharing agreement»  – 11.

25 contracts have been registered for uranium.

The volume of investments in geological work amounted to 158.4 billion tenge.

Currently, the Ministry is working to meet the obligations by subsoil users to finance research and (or) development work.

As of today, 163 subsoil use contracts (260 total) provide obligations to finance research and (or) development work by subsoil users.

According to the results of 2019, the financing of research and development works by subsoil users amounted to 9.9 billion tenge.

At the same time, obligations to finance training of Kazakhstani personnel by subsoil users are contemplated in 256 contracts (260 in total) for subsoil use.

According to the results of 2019, the financing of training of Kazakhstani personnel by subsoil users amounted to 21.0 billion tenge.

At the end of the year, more than 144 thousand Kazakhstani specialists were trained,  developed their  skills or retrained at the expense of subsoil users.
