On July 26, 2011, a joint briefing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Association of KAZENERGY on theme "Investment Opportunities: New Solutions for Sustainable Development" was held.
Olzhas Isabekov, Director of the Foreign Economic Policy Department of the MFA of the RK, Aset Magauov, Director General of the KAZENERGY Association, Arman Satimov, Adviser to the Chairman of KAZENERGY and Talgat Karashev, Executive Director for International Cooperation of the Association KAZENERGY, as well as representatives of more than 60 foreign missions in the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the event.
During the meeting the issues of the current situation in the oil and gas and energy sectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the activities of the KAZENERGY Association, participation in the work of international organizations, as well as the organization of international events, including the XII Eurasian Forum KAZENERGY and the World Petroleum Council (October 1-3, 2018) g.) were discussed. Addressing the audience, Aset Magauov noted the importance of creating flexible, and, most importantly, attractive conditions for the inflow of new investments. He told about the work carried out related to the actualization of the legislative base for subsoil users, which resulted in the new Code on Subsoil and Subsoil Use and the Tax Code.
Also during the subsequent discussion, he spoke about upcoming important initiatives, which include the development of the Environmental Code and measures to stimulate and improve the oil products market.
The Executive Director of the Association Talgat Karashev made a report on KAZENERGY's participation in the work of international organizations and international events. HE ANNOUNCED THAT FROM 1 TO 3 OCTOBER C.Y. A MEETING OF THE WORLD OIL COUNCIL WILL BE HELD IN ASTANA (NEXT – WOC), with the participation of the heads of delegations of the national committees of the countries-members of the WOC from among the heads of sectoral ministries, the heads of energy companies and large associations. In addition, all attendees were invited to a conference on the topic: "Investment Opportunities: New Challenges for Stable Growth", scheduled for October 2 in the framework of the meeting of the WOC. This conference will be organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Association KAZENERGY. Karashev stressed that the international conference is designed to attract the attention of the international community and increase the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan's oil and gas and energy industries.
An Adviser to the chairman of KAZENERGY Arman Satimov, in his turn, proposed to develop cooperation between the Association members and trade, commercial departments of embassies and corps of international organizations, including on the basis of the Scientific and Technical Council KAZENERGY. He stressed that this would promote the growth of trade turnover between the countries.
At the end of the meeting, the participants were able to directly ask questions concerning them and discuss ways to further develop a mutually beneficial partnership between countries.
