Since September 10, 2018, the Association of Environmental Organizations of Kazakhstan announces the start of accepting applications for participation in the contest "A Leader of Ecology and Green Economy" among organizations and citizens supporting environmental initiatives, as well as implementing projects related to the use of "green technologies".
MISSION OF THE COMPETITION:
- to promote the development of environmentally friendly Kazakhstan;
- to promote the solution of environmental problems by combining the potential of the state, civil society, science and business
GOALS and OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION:
- formation of an ecological outlook, the promotion of the principles of "green economy" among the population;
- drawing the attention of government agencies, businesses and the public to solving problems of nature conservation, ecology and preservation of climate balance;
- creation of favorable conditions for the development of innovative and environmentally friendly business in all sectors of the economy.
The winners will be awarded within the framework of the First Environmental Forum in November 2018 in Astana. The jury, which will include experts in the field of ecology, "green economy" and sustainable development, will select 3 winners in each of the 7 stated nominations:
1. Eco Akimat
2. Eco entrepreneur
3. Eco production
4. Eco NGO
5. Eco institution (schools, hospitals, etc.)
6. Eco personality
7. Eco Volunteer
The main selection criterion will be the effectiveness and usefulness of the implemented activities and projects for the population and the locality.
Materials are accepted no later than November 20, 2018.
