On the conduct of the first nationwide dictation in Latin in the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On November 14, 2018, the staff and management of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (over 70 participants) took part in writing the first nationwide dictation in the Latin script, conducted as part of the modernization of the public consciousness “Ruhani Janyru” and Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 26, 2017 No. 569 "On the translation of the alphabet of the Kazakh language from the Cyrillic alphabet into Latin graphics".

The main goal of the national dictation is to popularize and widely disseminate the Kazakh alphabet in the Latin script, to inculcate the skills of practical learning of the new alphabet among the citizens of the republic.

The text of the dictation consisted of approximately 80-90 words, read out by audio recording for 30 minutes.

The results of the dictation will be summed up by a special working group established under the Ministry. The results will be published on the official website of the department and then sent to the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
