The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with experts from the World Bank

On March 7, 2025, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with World Bank specialists.

During the discussion, representatives of the Bank presented the possibilities of a Review Assessment and capacity building in the field of socio-environmental principles (BOT). These principles reflect the Bank's commitment to sustainable development goals and include policies and socio-environmental standards aimed at supporting potential borrowers in implementing projects that contribute to poverty eradication and improving overall well-being.

Key issues were also discussed during the meeting:

• Ensuring safe and healthy working conditions;
• Guarantees of fair treatment, non-discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities for employees;
• protection of vulnerable categories of workers (women, people with disabilities, able-bodied children, migrants, etc.);
• prohibition of the use of forced and child labor;
• Support for freedom of association and collective bargaining;
• Employees' access to labor dispute resolution mechanisms.

The meeting was held in a constructive and informative atmosphere.
