Principles of social protection of the disabled

The state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of social protection of disabled persons is carried out on the basis of the following principles:

1) legality, humanity, respect for human rights;

2) guarantees of social protection, ensuring the availability of medical, social and vocational rehabilitation;

3) accessibility and equal rights of persons with disabilities, along with other citizens, to health care, education and free choice of occupation, including employment;

4) interaction of state bodies with public associations and other organizations that perform functions to protect the rights and legitimate interests of persons with disabilities;

5) prohibition of discrimination on the basis of disability.
