Independence is the main wealth of any state. Over the years, Kazakhstan has become a prosperous, developing country, well-known in the international arena. 2021 was declared by the President as the Year of the 30th Anniversary of Independence. The safety of its citizens plays an important role in an independent state. For this purpose, the state system of civil protection has been created and operates in Kazakhstan.
East Kazakhstan is a region with a high risk of emergencies, both natural and man-made. For almost all seasons, more than 2000 rescuers and firefighters of the East Kazakhstan Region Emergency Situations Department and more than 400 pieces of equipment are on guard for the safety of the region and its residents.
Every day they are on guard of our safety and ready to save people, animals and properties at any moment, but at the same time they do not consider themselves as heroes. I would like to tell about everyone, but more than two thousand people serve in the structures of this organization. Both highly qualified specialists and young generation of firefighters and rescuers are working here nowadays. All of them are highly qualified, motivated to perform the tasks assigned to them, and able to work in difficult conditions for protecting our citizens.
More than 10% of employees in East Kazakhstan garrison have state and departmental awards for the impeccable performance of their official duties, 1 of them is awarded the "Aibyn" order and 5 holders of "Erligi ushin" medal - this is truly the "Golden Fund" CHS employees of East Kazakhstan!
Women in the fire service do not eliminate emergency, do not go into the fire, nevertheless they equally solve important tasks in emergency situations. Previously, it was believed that a woman is the keeper of the hearth. Today, women in uniform work on an equal basis with men.
And although women do not directly participate in extinguishing fires, they contribute no less than men: dispatching, personnel and educational work, finance, material support, accounting and order in office work.
For example: dispatchers serve on an equal basis with men-firefighters and rescuers. Their competent actions are often no less important, and sometimes are crucial in the elimination of fire, road accidents, emergency situations. Quick decision-making, professionalism and efficiency, the ability to collect information bit by bit – they should have everything on time when seconds are counting.
Women who are engaged in the prevention of emergency situations, promotion of the rules of life safety among the population are also work in the system of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They teach our children the first steps in the world of security, and reminde adults of the consequences of carelessness.
We remember and look up to those who stood at the origins of the emergencies service and made a huge contribution to its development - about our veterans-we do not just hear their names, they are frequent and welcome guests in the garrison.
We do not forget about those who died in the line of duty. There are seven of them in the garrison – firefighters and rescuers, all of them are forever immortalized in the memory of every employee of the emergency Department of East Kazakhstan Region. And paying tribute to this holiday, wreaths were laid at the monument to the heroes of the profession.
As long as there is such a service, each of our residents has hope for help and salvation in any emergency situation.
The work of firefighters and rescuers is difficult and very dangerous. But despite this, there was a place for representatives of the fair sex here. Yes, they do not perform such a difficult job as men, but their contribution is no less important.
Therefore, it should be remembered that the work of a lifeguard is important for every person in its own way, regardless of his age, gender and skin color.
I am proud of being a part of the system where people with huge hearts have dedicated their lives to save people and we are infinitely grateful to you for this!
