A gas station is a familiar and familiar place for everyone, where millions of people refuel their car every day. No one thinks about the fact that the gas station is a place of increased danger.
Employees of the Emergency Management Department of the Karatau district carried out preventive work at gas stations located in the district.
Gas stations can be classified as objects with a high risk of fires due to large volumes of combustible materials and concentrations of explosive vapors. In this regard, there are increased requirements for fire safety at gas stations, in particular, for equipping with automatic fire extinguishing means.
In order not to cause a fire, the following rules should be followed at the gas station:
Do not refuel cars with the engine running.
Do not refuel vehicles during thunderstorms or when atmospheric discharges occur.
Do not work in oiled clothes.
Do not refuel vehicles with dangerous goods of classes 1-9 (explosive, toxic and radioactive substances, compressed and liquefied flammable gases, flammable liquids and materials).
refueling of a vehicle with passengers inside (except for passenger cars with four or more doors).
Do not make repairs on the territory that are not related to the equipment of the gas station or its buildings.
Training tactical and special exercises on extinguishing a conditional fire in multi-storey buildings were held in Shymkent. The exercise was held in the new Turan microdistrict. According to the tactical plan, as a result of careless handling of fire, a fire occurred in one of the apartments on the 7th floor.
During the exercise, a number of introductory exercises were worked out, one of which was extinguishing fires in high-rise buildings. Fire departments demonstrated methods of rescue from high-rise buildings using a car ladder.
Upon the arrival of the first units of the Fire Extinguishing Service, the room was engulfed in fire, the evacuation of two people was required. The injured were rescued by the gas and smoke protection services and transferred to the brigade of the branch of the Disaster Medicine Center, the fire was eliminated.
The main causes of fires that can occur in high-rise buildings are the isolation of escape routes by products of gorenje and fire. It is also important to remember that elevators are not a means of evacuating people in case of fire.
Fires in high-rise buildings are extinguished with the help of lifting mechanisms and helicopters. Lifting mechanisms are extendable ladders and crank lifts. Currently, the Shymkent garrison has one 50-meter, one 51-meter, 61-meter two knee lifts.
The main purpose of the training exercises is to work out immediate and professional actions corresponding to the threat. Smoothly and selflessly – this is how rescuers work during real emergencies. When the lives of people who need help sometimes depend on minutes or even seconds, only coordinated actions of rescuers bring success.

Preventive work to prevent fires and the death of people from them is a priority in the activities of employees of bodies and departments for emergency situations. It is easier to prevent any fire than to eliminate its consequences, and therefore work with the population is carried out constantly and with all categories of citizens - in the residential sector, at rural gatherings, in educational institutions, enterprises and organizations.
One of the most effective formats of work is conversations with the population. Residents are explained the rules of fire safety, taking into account the circumstances in each individual case. Employees of the Emergency Management Department of the Abai district carried out work in this direction in the settlement of Kyzyl Zhar, where residents were additionally handed visual memos leaflets.

Four cases of children falling out of a window have been registered in Shymkent since the beginning of the year. The last case was registered on July 24.
The crisis management received a message on July 24 at 16.20. It is noted that from an apartment 3-storey residential building on the street Yesil, Al-Farabi district of Shymkent, a child fell out. A boy born in 2016, left unattended by his parents, fell from the window of an apartment located on the 2nd floor, died at the scene. The mother was in the bathroom at the time.
In this regard, the Department of Emergency Situations of the city of Shymkent recalls the safety rules
Dear parents!
Do not leave children at home unattended, especially if the child sleeps for a long time. Tragedies often happen when parents are not at home.
Remove the furniture near the windows, with which the child can easily climb on it.
Don't trust mosquito nets! They do not protect against falls, but, on the contrary, contribute to them, because the child leans towards them and feels safe. Children fall from windows with nets.
Equip the windows with special locks that allow you to open them a few centimeters.
We put iron bars on the windows. They protect children from falls. But it should be remembered that the grilles must be equipped with a special mechanism that is easy to open in case of fire.
When you show your child something from the window, try to hold it firmly with a dry hand. Children are very active, they move quickly, so at this moment hold the baby tightly. Do not hold the child by the clothes.
If it is not possible to install mounting and safety equipment, then unscrew the handles and lift them up.
REMEMBER!
Only a vigilant attitude towards your own children on the part of you, the PARENTS, will help to avoid trouble!
