The Department of Emergency Situations of the city of Shymkent, in connection with the deterioration of weather conditions, urges citizens to be extremely careful.
According to forecasters, on November 17, 2021, a storm warning was announced about an increase in wind up to 25 m/sec. In addition, heavy rains and snow are expected in the city on November 18.
Dear car owners and pedestrians! Be extremely careful and attentive on the roads in bad weather conditions.
Recommendations to citizens when the wind increases
When the wind increases, we recommend limiting the exit from buildings located in the premises. It is important to take special control of children and not leave them unattended.
If a strong wind catches you on the street, we recommend taking shelter in underground passages or building entrances. Do not hide from the strong wind near the walls of houses, as slate and other roofing materials may fall from the roofs. The same applies to public transport stops, billboards, trees, unfinished buildings.
It is deadly dangerous to stand under a power line in a strong wind and approach broken electrical wires. If you have left the village, it is advisable to get out of the car and take shelter in a road ditch. In the city, you must immediately leave the car, bus, tram and hide in the nearest shelter, underpass or basement.
