Detour of flood-prone areas continues in the capital

On February 2-3, in preparation for the flood period, a detour through flood-prone areas of the Yesil and Saryarka districts continued. The visiting Commission of the flood situation included employees of the Department, district akimats, the State Enterprise for the Elorda Eco System, Astana Tazalyk LLP.
During the visual inspection, special attention was paid to the ongoing work on cleaning the ditch-tray network and storm sewer systems from snow, removal of snow from flood-prone areas of these areas.
Following the results of the field meeting , the head of the Emergency Prevention Department B. Beisenkanov was given recommendations to representatives of district akimats and municipal services about the need to clean the canal from Lake Maybalyk to the Nura-Yesil canal from snow and dry vegetation and to carry out work on digging the ditch in the area of the Special Zone in order to avoid flooding with meltwater during the flood period.
