Minister of National Economy met with representatives of Harvard University

Today Alibek Kuantyrov met with representatives of the Growth Laboratory of the Center for International Development at Harvard University.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation. Experts from Harvard University presented a research project aimed at diagnosing the factors of economic growth.

A. Kuantyrov spoke in detail about the priority areas of socio-economic development in the framework of the reforms announced by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Today, the Ministry is actively working to build a new economic policy, increase the income of the population, diversify the economy, improve the investment climate and develop entrepreneurship.

The Minister noted that the improvement of human capital is one of the most important factors in economic development.

In addition, Kazakhstan pays great attention to attracting foreign investment and currently favorable conditions have been created for them.

In turn, a researcher at Harvard University, Can Soylu, thanked for the opportunity to exchange views and expressed confidence that the Kazakh side would consider the proposals of the Center for International Development.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify mutual cooperation.
