Sturgeon fish species discovered

As part of the large-scale fish protection campaign "Bekire-2021", on April 15, 2021, employees of the Atyrau region Police Department in one of the country houses of the village. The fact of illegal storage of fish of sturgeon species in the amount of 247 pieces with a total weight of 812 kg belonging to a citizen of Atyrau was revealed.

The seized fish as part of the pre-trial investigation was handed over to the subject of the state monopoly - the Ural-Atyrau sturgeon hatchery.

The collected materials were sent to the investigative authorities to initiate a criminal case under Article 339 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Illegal treatment of rare and endangered, as well as prohibited plant or animal species, their parts or derivatives).
