According to the epidemiological situation assessment matrix, the Republic of Kazakhstan has been in the red zone since June 26.
With the exception of the Turkestan region, all regions are in the red zone.

As of August 03 this year, the employment of infectious beds in the republic amounted to 56% (29,138 beds), resuscitation beds - 44% (2,102 beds).
The greatest employment of infectious beds is noted in Nur-Sultan (67%), Shymkent (77%), intensive care beds in Akmola (67%), Atyrau (68%), Mangystau (80%) regions, and in Nur-Sultan (80%).
The Ministry of Health provided visits to 10 regions of Kazakhstan (Almaty-3; Almaty, Karaganda, Aktobe regions, Nur-Sultan - 2; Akmola, Mangystau, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan regions and Shymkent - 1) as part of the leading staff of the Ministry and the teaching staff of medical universities in order to provide methodological and practical assistance in the management of patients with coronavirus infection. A detailed analysis and assessment of the situation was carried out in the regions and specific recommendations were given to stabilize the situation.

According to the hospital load assessment matrix, there are 4 regions in the dark red zone (in the critical risk zone): the cities of Almaty, Shymkent, Atyrau and Karaganda regions, where the weekly occupancy rate of beds is from 200 and higher per 100 thousand population.
Since August 2, restrictive measures have been taken in the regions, taking into account the balance of business activity and stabilization of the epidemiological situation and within the framework of implementation.

Vaccination of the population against Covid continues.
To date, about 9.4 million doses of the vaccine have been used, of which 5,480,094 people have been vaccinated with the 1st component, which is 55.4% of the subject population. The second component covers 3,941,941 people or 39.8% of the subject population.
The Ministry has signed contracts for the additional supply of 4 million 8 million doses for 4 million people. The delivery is proceeding according to the schedule. In this regard, the access of the population to vaccination is provided in sufficient quantity in the republic.

Simplification of the requirements for joining the Ashyq project contributed to a 3-fold increase in participants, so from July 27 this year to August 2 this year, the number of participants in the Ashyq project increased from 21,900 to 67,782.
Within the framework of the Ashyq project, monitoring groups have covered 50 thousand objects participating in the Ashyq project. Violations were detected at 642 objects. According to the data of unloading (information) received from the ICRIAP for the period from July 10 this year, 16,663 violators were identified, among them 10,305 visitors with a "red" and 6,358 with a "yellow" status. Thus, infection of the population with coronavirus infection was prevented in more than 16 thousand objects.

According to WHO data, on average in five of the six WHO regions, infection has increased by 80% or almost doubled in the last four weeks. Most of this increase is due to the highly transmissive delta variant, which is currently found in 132 countries.
Having studied the dynamics of morbidity in the city of Nur-Sultan, taking into account the fact that for the first time the delta strain was detected in the capital (after June 20 this year) and led to a sharp increase in morbidity, we observe that the incidence rate has been at the same level for the last two weeks without exceeding the incidence rates. The number of emergency medical calls has decreased by 11% over the past week.

Based on the forecast of the epidemiological situation for August-September, we are following an optimistic scenario, where the projected number of registered cases in August-September 2021 is about 250 thousand people (on average, about 7 thousand cases per day).
Further development of the optimistic scenario is possible only if quarantine measures are observed and vaccination coverage of the subject population is increased.
