Студенты Казахской национальной академии хореографии представили свою школу на мастер-классах Международной хореографической лаборатории «ГИТИС-Экзерсис» в Москве. Из многочисленных кандидатов от Академии были отобраны Бекарыс Төлеген и Айдана Мусаифова под руководством заместителя декана факультета хореографии Евгения Моисеева.
Мероприятие прошло на исторической сцене Учебного театра ГИТИС в рамках программы стратегического академического лидерства «Приоритет-2030». В работе лаборатории также приняли участие видные деятели хореографического образования и искусства России, Узбекистана и Кыргызстана: преподаватели, студенты, ассистенты-стажеры, магистранты творческих вузов, участники профессиональных танцевальных коллективов, историки танца и балетоведы.
Программа включала мастер-классы по классическому, народному и бальному танцам, современным сценическим формам и направлениям хореографии, а также итоговый круглый стол с участием ведущих балетных критиков и педагогов.
Цель мастер-классов – обмен опытом и идеями между специалистами. Важность подобных проектов обусловлена необходимостью профессионального сообщества в налаживании международного сотрудничества.
Каждое занятие было посвящено отдельной теме и определенному хореографическому стилю: бальному и классическому танцу, современной хореографии, степу, фламенко.
Особое внимание в выступлении представителей Казахской национальной академии хореографии обратила на себя стилизации бального и казахского танца. Участники и организаторы отметили, что эта тенденция, заданная Казахстаном, придает новый импульс развитию танцевального искусства. Многие выразили желание перенять этот опыт, чтобы российские хореографы также могли стилизовать различные направления хореографии с русским танцем.

Национальная киностудия «Казахфильм» имени Ш. Айманова приняла участие в международном телевизионном рынке MIPCOM 2025 в Каннах. Мероприятие традиционно состоялось в легендарном здании Дворца фестивалей и конгрессов (Palais des Festivals et des Congrès) и на прилегающих площадках.
Вниманию зрителей и международных партнёров была предложена широкая подборка художественных, документальных и анимационных фильмов из золотого фонда «Казахфильма», а также современные картины, созданные при поддержке Государственного центра поддержки национального кино.
Представители киностудии провели ряд встреч и переговоров с зарубежными дистрибьюторами и продюсерами, представив казахстанские кино- и телепроекты. Эти переговоры стали важным шагом для расширения присутствия отечественного контента на мировом рынке и открытия новых возможностей для сотрудничества.
MIPCOM считается одной из крупнейших профессиональных площадок в мире, посвящённых телевидению, стримингу и цифровому контенту. В этом году мероприятие собрало более 10 тыс. участников из 107 стран. В том числе лидеры рынка – Великобритания, США, Франция, Германия, Южная Корея, Япония, Турция, Канада, Испания и Италия.
По данным организаторов, в 2025 году Канны посетили около 3 тыс. покупателей контента, которые провели встречи с потенциальными партнёрами и обсудили ряд совместных проектов. В рамках рынка свои работы представили более 350 компаний.

During the official visit to Italy, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in association with the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic stated Kazakhstan's participation in the 60th International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Venice.
The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has taken all necessary measures to organize the National Pavilion of the country at one of the prestigious world exhibitions. The commissioner of the pavilion is the Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva.
Worldwide visitors will have the opportunity to see the exhibition of the «Jeruiyq project: a glimpse beyond the horizon». This is a contemporary interpretation of the ancient legend of the mythical land known as «Jerūiyq».
The exhibition will feature some of the early futuristic works in the history of Kazakhstani art, such as Kamil Mullashev's «Earth and Time. Kazakhstan» and Erbolat Tolepbayev's monumental canvas «New Child. Rebirth».
Besides, Saken Narynov’s experimental projects «Six Lives of One Sou»l and «The End of the Beginning or the Beginning of the End» along with Sergey Maslov's installation «Baikonur-2» will be displayed.
The art group The2vvo, which includes artists Elena Pozdnyakova and Eldar Tagi, will participate in the biennale with a sound installation titled «Presence», while artist Anvar Musrepov will present an experimental mystical video essay titled «Alastau».
The involvement of Kazakhstani artists in the art exhibition is organized with the support of the general sponsors: «Viled FASHION» LLP, «Qazaq Oil» LLP, and «Universal Energy Kazakhstan» LLP.
We should mention that the anniversary Art Biennale will take place in the historical building of the Navale Museum in Venice for about seven months, from April 20 to November 24, 2024.
The first International Art Exhibition, which later evolved into the modern Biennale, took place in Venice in 1895 and immediately became one of the central events in the art world. The exhibition traditionally attracts experts and art enthusiasts from around the globe. In 2022, there were more than 800,000 visitors.

The Altyn Tomiris 2023 award ceremony for the journalists was held at the Astana Opera on June 26. In anticipation of the Media Workers Day in Kazakhstan, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Oralov congratulated the mass media representatives covering the topics of culture and art.
As a reminder, the award was established in 2021 by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Astana Opera to support journalistic initiatives in covering topics related to the theatre arts, opera and ballet, and culture in general.
This year, representatives of editorial offices of the republican newspapers Egemen Qazaqstan, Kazakhstanskaya Pravda, Aikyn, Liter, Astana Akshamy, Vechernyaya Astana, Novoye Pokoleniye, Kazakh Radiolary, news agencies El.kz, KazAkparat, Baq.kz, TV channels Qazakhstan Ulttyq Arnasy, Khabar Agency, editorial office of the programs Madeniet Zhanalyqtary / Novosty Kultury of the Khabar 24 TV channel, Jibek Joly TV, Birіnshі Qaraghandy, MIR, Abai TV and many others received the long-awaited statuettes.

It is important to note that the great warrior Tomiris, who devoted herself to serving people, became the personification of the award. The figure of the fearless queen driving four horses adorns the portico of the Astana Opera. She also became a symbol of the award for the best journalists covering cultural topics.
The first summer month was marked by a significant cultural event: the famous Operaliya International Music Festival will be held at the Astana Opera with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It will open on June 20 at the opera house’s Grand Hall. The festival will last a month, featuring world opera and ballet masterpieces, such as Verdi’s Aida, as well as epic symphony concerts. Guest artists from Italy, Germany, Korea, Bulgaria, Mongolia and creative teams from Kazakhstan will take part in the events.
As a reminder, the Operaliya festival of high classical art has been held in our country for more than 20 years. Thanks to this international festival, residents and guests of the capital annually have the opportunity to get acquainted with the art of outstanding opera singers, famous ballet soloists who come to Kazakhstan from world’s best opera houses.
“The history of Operaliya dates back to the Kulyash Baiseitova National Opera and Ballet Theatre. An important goal of the festival was and still remains to familiarize the audience with the work of famous artists, as well as building cultural bridges with teams from different countries. This year celebrated soloists from five countries will come to our opera house. I am sure that this will be a true celebration of high art, created in honor of the completion of the Astana Opera’s tenth anniversary season. I invite all connoisseurs of musical theatre to our festival,” Galym Akhmedyarov, the Astana Opera’s general director, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, said.
Thus, on June 16 and 17, Verdi’s famous opera Don Carlos will be presented to the residents and guests of the capital as part of the festival. Guest soloist – the renowned opera singer, People’s Artist of Armenia Barseg Tumanyan will perform the part of King Philip II of Spain. The Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the opera house’s principal conductor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of Kazakhstan, the world-famous Maestro Alan Buribayev will take part in the performance.
On June 20, the opera house will meet its colleague from the capital on its stage – the Astana Ballet team, which is preparing to present Jiří Kylián’s Falling Angels to music by Steve Reich at the festival. On this day, art lovers will also have an opportunity to enjoy the performance of the Astana Opera Ballet Company, which will perform Jiří Kylián’s ballets Petite Mort and Sechs Tänze to Mozart’s music. Conductor – Arman Urazgaliyev.
The series of ballet performances will continue on June 23 with the production of Prokofiev’s Cinderella in Raimondo Rebeck’s choreography. On June 29 and 30, one of the main events of the festival will be the premiere of Rossini’s opera L’Italiana in Algeri. It should be noted that L’Italiana in Algeri is Rossini’s first major opera buffa. Music director and conductor of the production Ruslan Baimurzin, stage director Yerenbak Toikenov, vocal teacher Ala Simonishvili, costume designer Manana Gunia worked on the premiere. On the first day, Holder of the Order of Qurmet Ruslan Baimurzin will conduct the symphony orchestra. Along with the soloists of the opera company, orchestra and choir, the Astana Opera International Opera Academy attendees, as well as a guest star from Italy, mezzo-soprano Laura Verrecchia, will take the stage. On the second day of the performance, Italian Maestro Giuseppe Acquaviva will take the conductor’s stand.
The performances featuring famous foreign artists will not end there. On the contrary, the geography of the festival will expand even more. Thus, on July 5, a guest soloist from Italy Diego Cavazzin will perform Radamès in Verdi’s opera Aida. His Mongolian colleague Badral Chuluunbaatar will perform the role of Amonasro. On July 6, the audience will have the opportunity to see the Italian opera singer Isabelle de Paoli as the pharaoh’s daughter Amneris. These days, the opera house’s symphony orchestra is scheduled to perform under the baton of Bulgarian conductor Dian Tchobanov and the Astana Opera’s conductor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin.
On July 9, the opera house will present to the audience a chamber music concert with the unusual title The Twelve Seasons. The program will include works by Antonio Vivaldi, Astor Piazzolla and Efrem Podgaits, dedicated to different, but equally beautiful seasons. Soloists – the internationally acclaimed violinist Alexei Lundin, the principal first violin of the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Bagdat Abilkhanov and the opera house’s Chamber Orchestra conducted by Abzal Mukhitdin will perform at the concert.
On July 12 and 13, as part of Operaliya, the viewers will be able to appreciate the world classical masterpiece – Puccini’s opera Turandot. On the second performance day, South Korean singer Sejoon An will perform one of the main parts in the opera – Calaf. For two evenings, the world-famous maestro Alan Buribayev will cut a brilliant figure at the conductor’s stand.
On July 16, the outstanding conductor will present a symphonic music concert at the opera house’s Grand Hall. Certainly, such a large-scale musical evening will be a worthy conclusion to the Astana Opera’s tenth anniversary season. The program will feature Symphony No. 1 by Gustav Mahler and a symphonic suite on the themes from the opera Qurmanghazy by Akhmet Zhubanov and Gaziza Zhubanova. At the invitation of Alan Buribayev, one of the most famous cellists in the world Jing Zhao will perform Antonin Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in B minor at the concert.
It is important to emphasize that performances for a children’s audience will be shown within the framework of the festival. One of them is Tleugazy Beissembek’s musical fairytale Samuryq Kelgen Tan, where the pupils of the children’s studio will perform the main parts. The festival program also includes performances by striking musicians on Kazakh national instruments.

Different stages, famous musicians, a rich program – all this is about a series of Baroque concerts, to be held from April 12 to 27 in Astana Opera’s Marble, Chamber and Grand Halls. The idea and organization of the Baroque music carnival belongs to the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, the opera house’s conductor Abzal Mukhitdin.
“On April 12, a Grand Concert of Baroque music will take place at the opera house’s Marble Hall. Two of our sopranos Aigul Niyazova and Guldana Aldadossova, as well as some of our first chairs of the orchestra will take part in it. The music of the great Baroque composers – Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Devienne will be performed. Serbian conductor Tamara Milovanovic will take part in the concert. The program will be performed at the opera house’s Marble Hall. This choice was not made by chance, its acoustics are the most consistent with the one for which the above-mentioned music was written, requiring a rich sound reverberation,” Abzal Mukhitdin explained.
It is worth noting that Baroque is a musical style that covers the period from about 1600 to 1750, that is, it is between the Renaissance and Classicism. Currently, Baroque is widely studied, performed and listened to with pleasure.
“On April 20 and 21, the Double Reeds Festival will be held at the Kulyash Baiseitova Chamber Hall. Instruments that use a double reed are: oboe, cor anglais, bassoon and contrabassoon. The reeds for them are made of cut cane. With very active playing, it can literally be enough for a couple of performances... We treat all our colleagues with great respect, but musicians with double reeds, of course, have a particularly honorable place. For example, the oboe gives the note “A” to tune the orchestra. The initiators of this festival were our principal oboe Damilya Makhpirova and our principal bassoon Asset Neldybayev. The program will feature both the most virtuoso and rarely performed musical masterpieces written specifically for the above-mentioned instruments. As always, we will have an intermission with coffee and more at our festivals. We look forward to sharing the joy of getting in touch with the beautiful world of high art with our dear listeners,” the conductor said.
The Maestro’s idea was to show the style of a huge layer of music, with all its nuances, which is not always available to the general public.
“On April 27, another unusual concert will take place featuring a guest conductor from Israel, Arik Goldstein,” Abzal Mukhitdin concluded.
When compiling the program, many nuances were taken into consideration, but the main one was to leave a mark in the listeners’ hearts, to present a celebration of high art.
Beloved melodies from cartoons will be performed for children and adults by the Astana Opera Chamber Orchestra conducted by Alikhan Idrissov on April 23. One of the two Cartoon Music Concerts will be a charitable event. Low-income and large families will be invited to attend the program.
Music from films and cartoons in orchestral performance has become increasingly popular in recent years. For many years in a row, Astana Opera has been performing the Screen Melodies program to a full house. Its creative mastermind is the conductor, choirmaster, international competitions laureate Alikhan Idrissov. After the success of film soundtracks, the musician decided to make a separate program dedicated exclusively to melodies from animated films of the past years.
According to Alikhan Idrissov, such music very often takes on a life of its own, some songs becoming more famous than the movies or cartoons themselves.
“For many years in a row I have been preparing Screen Melodies film concerts, which include music from Kazakh and Soviet films. Moreover, I try to popularize national composers more,” the conductor said. “The idea of Cartoon Music Concert was born about a year ago. I wanted to make a new project for children. However, I think that it will be of interest to adults as well. Each cartoon has a meaning that children and adults see in their own different ways.”
The Cartoon Music Concert program will feature works by such composers as Nurgissa Tlendiyev, Asset Beiseuov, Gennady Krylov, Vladimir Shainsky, Boris Savelyev, Gennady Gladkov, Mieczysław Weinberg, Yevgeny Krylatov and others. Thanks to melodies familiar from an early age, viewers will be able to immerse themselves in a magical animated world. The orchestra will perform melodies from the cartoons Aldar Kose, Aqsaq Qulan, Well, Just You Wait!, Umka, Chunga-Changa, The Adventures of Leopold the Cat, The Bremen Town Musicians (soloist Yermek Kassym) and others.
As the author of the concert notes, most of today’s children devote too much time to gadgets. Therefore, perhaps, for some of the young listeners, some of these cartoons will be a discovery.
“I think it will be useful for them to get acquainted with the melodies from the cartoons on which we and our parents grew up,” the musician says. “These cartoons carry the idea of goodness and teach caring for loved ones, mutual help, empathy and other humanitarian qualities that are never in excessive surplus.”
It should be noted that charity is an important aspect of Astana Opera’s work. The opera house patronizes large families, single mothers, children with special needs and other socially unprotected citizens.
