New types of products have appeared: locomotives, transformers, communication equipment, optical devices, production of electronic parts, production of electric lighting equipment, etc.
Mechanical engineering is the basic branch of the economy that determines the development of such complexes as fuel and energy, transport, construction, chemical and petrochemical, and a number of others. The most important specific indicators of the gross domestic product of the country and, as a result, the competitiveness of manufactured products depend on the level of development of mechanical engineering.
