The population of our country is increasingly concerned about the presence of environmental problems in the regions.
After discussing with the population, in 2020 we approved 16 Roadmaps for the comprehensive solution of environmental problems of the regions with the inclusion of 485 specific measures with a implementation period until 2025.
To date, the following activities have been completed:
- works on gasification of Turkestan and the first stage of Nur-Sultan, where 14,000 homes already have access to gas;
- construction of landfills in Aralsk and Kyzylorda;
- construction and installation works on the SPIT in the left-bank part of the city of Atyrau;
- a study of the wind regime of the city of Nur-Sultan, according to the results of which adjustments will be made to the general plan of the city by the end of May this year;
- in Almaty, a ban on the purchase of public transport on diesel fuel has been introduced, and the existing public transport is being converted to gas.
- a positive state examination was received for the feasibility study on the modernization of the Almaty CHP-2, the construction of which is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
The Ministry has submitted the implementation of Roadmaps for discussion at a Government meeting, as there is a lag in the deadlines for the implementation of events in Pavlodar, Atyrau, Zhambyl regions and the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
The analysis of the state of execution of Road Maps showed that 63% of the planned activities for 2021 have been completed.
By 2025, the result of the execution of Road Maps should be a reduction in air pollution in cities, solving historical environmental problems, improving the quality of wastewater and their reduction, improving the situation with waste and landscaping.
Every quarter, until the final execution of all points of the maps, local executive bodies, together with our territorial divisions, will cover the progress of their implementation.
